'tiny_malloc_from_free_list' сделал мой указатель 'NULL'?

Я очень не специалист по C++, но... Как распределитель NULLing указатель? Как распределитель даже знает, где находится указатель? Почему распределитель NULLing указатель? Я имею в виду, я могу видеть, как у меня может быть нехватка памяти, что я делаю, это не совсем свет памяти, но я бы скорее ожидал, что распределитель не сможет выделить, чем случайным образом освободить что-то, - и я понятия не имел может NULL указатель.
