Изменения макета для телефона работают нормально, поскольку в нем используются одни и те же представления внутри фрагмента. Проблема в том, что я пытаюсь получить ниже расположение в таблицах.

Единственный способ, которым я могу думать, что вы получаете эту ошибку, - это то, что используется ваш старый макет. Это может быть связано с тем, что super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);

Вместо этого попробуйте игнорировать сохраненное состояние:

super.onCreate(null);

Поскольку OP не предоставил код для воссоздания проблемы, трудно проверить другие (если есть) решения.

Однако я согласен с тем, что сброс savedInstanceState является своего рода излишним. Поэтому я думаю, что OP должен попробовать его сам и следить за тем, чтобы он сохранял как можно больше просмотров.

Первое, что приходит на ум, - это предотвращение сохранения проблемного представления:

FragmentManager попытается воссоздать все фрагменты при повороте, но в портретном режиме у вас больше нет макета DetailFragment, поэтому вы должны удалить фрагмент, чтобы он не был прикреплен.

EDIT: Возможно, самый чистый способ определить ваше изменение ориентации - использовать OrientationEventListener. Вы можете ссылаться на этот пост и этот для примера. Вы должны удалить фрагмент внутри метода onOrientationChanged (int orientation), который вы должны переопределить.
